"I just want to do bad things with carbs."

Don't we all. Yesterday, somebody said the word "spaghetti" and I haven't stopped thinking about it since. I can almost taste it, I want it so damn bad and since I have the willpower of a gnat, I'll probably devour a plate tomorrow.  But I can, because I'll make tomorrow my "cheat" day.  That one glorious day a week I give myself to eat carbs and sugar. *eye roll* That's not entirely true. I baked a pan of brownies the other night after work and if they're in my house, I'm going to eat them. So yah. I've been eating a large brownie covered in a very large amount of peanut butter ice cream after my evening meal since I baked them. I'll end up eating the whole pan. And not only that, there's this: God damn you, Breyers And this.... How many Girl Scout cookies does one woman need? I froze 5 boxes....for later. What later? Puh-leeze. It's a miracle I have any left today and I got them a week ago. Actually...

Let's recap: March 5, 2015 = 146 lbs Check out the websites linked on the previous post for what got me started on the low-carb diet. I don't have my notes with me and I'm kinda lazy today so I don't even want to go to the websites, but here's what I remember and stuck with me, even to this day. Let's start with a little background, shall we? This is going to be a lot of me, me, me and for that I apologize. My writing is open and honest and crass and funny (I think) and pretty non-filtered. So just gird your loins and all that jazz. Update: After reading through what I've written thus far, I want to be clear about something. I'm not one of those people who usually gets too concerned about her weight. Most of my life, I wouldn't even weigh myself. I'd just notice if my pants were getting a little tight, then I knew to stop eating so much crap. And even then, I'd maybe start moving more instead of eating less. Because I love, love, love food. (My mantra is "move more or eat less" and I rarely eat less!) I don't get down on myself, tho, if I gain a pound here or there. I don't freak out. I'm not a huge calorie counter. Yet, after reading through this post, I can see how someone else would read this and think I'm seriously co...

"Maybe she's crazy. Maybe she just needs carbs. YOU DON'T KNOW."

Hello & Welcome to Low Carb & Lovin' It! I'm Amy and this is a blog about my experiences (both the good and the bad) with my weight, fitness, and low carb diet. I am by no means the poster child for fitness. Nor am I a guru of low carb diets. I am not overweight (tho I have been once or twice in my life). I don't claim to be anything but a (relatively) normal 42-year old woman who strives to feel good about herself in her own body. This is my story. These are my opinions. Take it or leave it. They are not endorsements for any particular lifestyle. Find what works for you and do it, by all means! If low carb dieting and working out regularly isn't your thing, this blog probably isn't for you. No hard feelings. There is a plethora of other reading, web sites, blogs, etc, etc, etc for you to partake. We're all in this thing called life together and to each his/her own. In the weeks to come, I hope to get my ducks in a row and post my story from the ...
